Sometime in the Future

Yes, i have been away for awhile. It is a garden project that will take longer than i anticipated with my busy work (occupation) schedule and when starting from scratch its a move this here thing no maybe here and then changing again.

The robins have been leaving their mark and I have to keep my distance from momma robin while she takes care of her little ones and i thought the groundhogs were an issue at the residential flowerbeds, not here, i have only seen one but the rest i am dealing with quite well, its a trial and error. Plantings are so different from what it was in the city, hmmm!! Always learning new things about the wildlife here, the crows were always picking at the garden and the neighbor would come over and place the plantings back in the soil and then tell me about it later.

Well back to my project. wish me luck and of course there will be more to come in our lessons of gardening.

  1. Wow, now that looks like a pretty ambitious undertaking! We have hand dug a small vegetable garden plot and hope to work the soil more this weekend, and plant by next weekend. Fingers crossed. In the meantime, I have expanded upon my one flowerbed from last year, and dug TWO new beds, one by the chicken coop (hollyhocks, nasturtium, marigolds and purple alyssum) and one at the front porch - going to plant holly and some grasses at the corners.

Can I just say that digging new beds sucks when you're almost 50????????
