Less Visits To The Nurseries (Part 2)

Soooo instead of wasting gas, time at the nurseries, etc. usually spending my time preparing these little things we call SEEDS beginning late summer to early fall collecting and waiting for the weather in the early spring to grow my own, some of us may not realize that maybe a few dollars you spend at the nursery is in the pod instead of a packet.

So give it your best shot and let me know if it works for you

Less Visits to the Nurseries

we all do this every year or i should say most of us do. Return for the same type of annual and spending when not really a need be thing. I was visiting the nurseries quite often until i found the annuals i do best with, even though i really like the yellow boys best. I havent tried yet but i know it is going to be turning cold very soon but just preparing for next year's season of growing and of course the easiest ever (Dwarf Marigolds).

Portable Vegetable Garden

Well this was something i decided would be the best way for our neck of the woods and a cheap way to develop our veggies. Maybe next year we will do like the old guy next door and put up an electric fence to keep the deer and other wildlife out of our buffet. And so farrrrr the veggies are doing great in our small garden. Pretty much experimental on the deck in VERY LARGE Flower pots , and with only 2 people living in this garden world, i think this will work quite nicely.
So far 10 tomatoes have sprouted on the one and only tomato plant, LOL!! and still waiting to see the results of the green peppers.

Remember Sometime In The Future

If you have seen some of the prior postings of my progress I will be finding some time to go one step further in developing what took me almost 20 years of my previous residence, but I guess that's why they say take one day at a time and it will all fall into place.

This is definitely a long process but it will be well appreciated when i can sit back and look at all that has transpired. Some people can do everything all at once but others take a little longer but OH WELL!! I am one of those that will be taking a little longer, hmmm!!

The concrete block walls sure don't do any justice for a backdrop on the flower beds. Hopefully a brick foundation look is in the future (no decisions made thus far).

I can't imagine any building here until bobcat and truckloads of sand, gravel, and more gravel were rolling in and out but the contractors were building faster than i could keep up with keeping the camera in hand, but it is all well worth the time and money to put it all together, only one small problem, (now I can't see the Alpaca farm) which is behind this mammoth pole building.

The septic system is working fine now as you may have seen in the previous posting an additional curtain drain was put in place for reasons of small backup at the divertor box, YUK!! I had my share of a sub pump and a concrete cover falling and splattering mud and whatever else you can imagine entering into a septic and out to the drain fields, something needed to be done.

Well Everyone that will be enjoying the long Memorial Day weekend I will be working to get your mail delivered in the snail way sooooo please enjoy and be safe!!

Energy In A Different Way

Everyone seems to have a different way of handling their energy levels and finding a simple way isnt always easy, but when you are on the go alot and sometimes not able to eat on a schedule like most people i keep these with me for a filler until i am able to eat the nutrients we all need. Very convenient packaging too. Mix the Energy Tablet with an 8 ounce glass of tap water (or bottled water) and you are on your way to an energy level so different from Red Bull, Monster, etc.

I offer more than just weight loss products, HERBALIFE PRODUCTS that i offer are kinda pricey but you get what you pay for (at least i feel that way). for more information go to www.herbalife.com but if you find something you like instead of ordering thru the website, i keep my inventory here to keep the costs down, contact me at healthforme@sbcglobal.net if you see something of interest.

Have a great day everyone!!

Over Abundance

This is crazy for some of you to wonder why so many caps, welllll i guess as we get older (50) we find things to do that some people never think about and we (co-worker and myself) have combined our points and just waiting for the right thing to buy or reward our thirst. Who knew you could get a subscription to a magazine or a movie ticket , etc. with just a few caps and enter them on www.mycokerewards.com. Have fun capping or rewarding, LOL!!

Sometime in the Future

Yes, i have been away for awhile. It is a garden project that will take longer than i anticipated with my busy work (occupation) schedule and when starting from scratch its a move this here thing no maybe here and then changing again.

The robins have been leaving their mark and I have to keep my distance from momma robin while she takes care of her little ones and i thought the groundhogs were an issue at the residential flowerbeds, not here, i have only seen one but the rest i am dealing with quite well, its a trial and error. Plantings are so different from what it was in the city, hmmm!! Always learning new things about the wildlife here, the crows were always picking at the garden and the neighbor would come over and place the plantings back in the soil and then tell me about it later.

Well back to my project. wish me luck and of course there will be more to come in our lessons of gardening.

Divided and Multiplied

Taking a lifetime (yep, i am making this up) but i really did like the flowerbeds at the residential lot, no problems with the deer but the groundhogs sure took a liking. I have started the new flowerbeds and wish they would be able to advance forward in their growth but thats not gonna happen anytime soon. Maybe in another 10 years the new will look like this. I will post the new flowerbeds after the rains so we can all have a good laugh.

Spring?! Well Almost

The last few days were picture perfect, but we all know its not over yet even thou the flowers and people are coming back to life.

I took this picture of the Clock Tower around the corner from where i live and it actually does Chime on the hour, i don't know about on the half hour, it was chiming 3 o'clock as i took the picture and i didnt even plan it that way, still snow on the ground a few weeks ago and i have a friend, "believe it or not" , i do have friends, but they are all spread out all over the United States now, but she brought me cheer when she sent the picture of the Mini Wild Roses that grow in her backyard in Houston, TX., and of course our wonderful Goodyear Blimp that tools around like no care in the world which would be what i want to have "no cares".

Well, back to the world of the literally blue collar working atmosphere tomorrow, doom and gloom it is. I actually came into the Postal World 13 years ago on St Patrick's Day!!

Nostalgia

okkkkk Oz Girl here we goooo on the barfly days and whoever else can relate to that atmosphere, we wont bring all of our nostalgia out of the closet thou, we want everyone to remember how their evenings were spent if weeee can remember, LOL!!

Fiesta Party

On Friday's most people are looking forward to a movie or even a dinner out, or even maybe meeting up with acquaintance's and ending up being a barfly, LOL!! Well Friday evening rolled around and the significant other decides HE wants to go and instead of a Home Improvement Project Store, he wanted to attend the Home and Garden Show downtown, sooooo on that note okkkk who wouldnt want to go, it's cheap and you really dont have to buy anything if you dont want to. I have been wanting to buy some Fiesta Party Dip Mix and Tastefullysimple had a booth set up, so for a 5.5 oz bottle that will last a pretty long time, I bought it, okkk so its kinda pricey $10.00 and (i know it's not LAWSON's chip dip) but if thats what you are wanting, buy it, right? The recipe is quick too, but you have to wait till you get your bottle of Fiesta Party Dip Mix, so go on over to www.tastefullysimple.com and order who knows what else you may find that strikes your fancy, it calls for 1 1/2 - 2 Tbsp of party dip mix
1/4 c. mayonnaise
3/4 c. sour cream
mix well, chill 2 hours
makes 1 Cup of dip

If you would rather try it in a different way add to your soups, sauces, or marinades

"Going On Five"

what a difference life from bungalow residential to colonial and ONLY 1 acre can do for person, and being able to just have some room to breathe on your own without someone knowing all your homelife business, even though i know some of our neighbors have their noses pushed up against the window to see what we are in the midst of creating. This was a long time small dream to be in the somewhat wide open land of old farm made into new. If you are wondering what "Going On Five" means well it is how long we have lived in this township.

When weather permits i visit the alpaca farm behind otherwise i can look at them thru the patio doors but it is always more fun to see them in action up close.

Automobile Updates

Well after a full day of work and asking to take a vacation day before i even started and then turned down with all the several inches of snow finally starting to melt, the roads turn icey, hmmm. Taking extreme caution on my way home from USPS the black ice took over my vehicle :( and the license plate did not take a beating after landing in the ditch, not as bad as it could have been and yeah i am ok!! a few bumps on the head never hurt anyone.
